We landed at Palm Springs airport CA in the morning around 8:30 am. We were looking for breakfast before driving to hour hotel at Dana Point. We googled and headed straight to this, kind of food street, a 5-8 minutes drive from the airport. Parked the car at a free parking lot nearby. Looked around the resturant and chosen “The thirsty palms”. It was an excellent experience. Menu was great, food was mouthwatering, service was prompt and friendly. We loved the food, the ambience, the location and the atmosphere. A highly recommended place to eat when you are at Palm Springs.

We had a wonderful experience!!! The food was delicious! We ordered pork and chicken schnitzels, salmon and shrimp scampi, and everything was perfect! In fact, the schnitzels were better than the ones we ate in Switzerland. The service was quick and the owner came over to make sure we like our meals. We definitely will be back!

We had dinner and it was great. We were greeted by the owner and a very friendly waitress. All dishes were very fresh and tasty, between the four of us we ordered seared tuna salad, olive appetizer with fennel , schnitzel , lamb chops and steak salad. Good drinks, good selection of beers. Reasonable prices, nice terrace seating, good quiet music, what else to wish for?

Authentic Hospitality and Outstanding Cuisine. I recently dined at a restaurant owned by a lovely Swiss couple, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The warmth and passion of the owners shine through in every detail—from the welcoming atmosphere to the thoughtfully curated menu. I ordered the surf and turf, and it was absolutely delicious. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the quality of the ingredients was top-notch. Their wine selection is also impressive, with something to suit every preference. The staff even helped recommend a pairing that truly enhanced my meal. One of the standout items on the menu is the schnitzel, a comforting nod to their Swiss heritage. It’s prepared with care and authenticity, making it a must-try for anyone visiting. This restaurant offers more than just a meal—it’s a glimpse into the heart of Swiss hospitality. I’ll definitely be back to enjoy another exceptional dining experience!

A Carnivore's Delight (and More!) The Thirsty Palms has clearly found a winning recipe for success, even if their kitchen does get a little backed up on busy nights. Our recent Thursday evening visit during Village Fest confirmed this, despite the reported 45-50 minute wait for food. Let me be clear: the wait was absolutely worth it! Walking in, I was immediately struck by the vibrant but relaxing atmosphere. It's clear they've put thought into creating a welcoming and enjoyable space. This positive vibe was amplified by the exceptional staff. From the friendly manager to the attentive servers, everyone seemed genuinely invested in ensuring a pleasant dining experience for all patrons. Even with the added pressure of a bustling Village Fest crowd and extended outdoor seating, they handled everything with grace and professionalism. Now, let's talk about the food. As a carnivore, I was aiming for a pure protein experience. I attempted to order my meal with just meat – lamb chops, steak, and shrimp – no sides. While the kitchen staff, bless their hearts, seemed to have missed the no-sides memo, the resulting dishes were so delicious. Everything was cooked to absolute perfection. The lamb chops were tender and flavorful, the steak was cooked precisely to a medium rare, and the shrimp were succulent and bursting with freshness. Each element was a testament to the chef's skill and the quality of the ingredients. While the unexpected sides were a delightful surprise (even if they weren't part of my initial plan!), the star of the show was undoubtedly the perfectly prepared meats. I wholeheartedly recommend The Thirsty Palms to anyone looking for a truly satisfying meal, particularly those with a carnivorous inclination. Just be prepared for a potential wait on busy nights, and trust me, it will be worth your while. This is a restaurant that clearly understands the importance of not just serving delicious food, but also creating a memorable and enjoyable dining experience. Highly recommended!

Great experience. The chilaquiles were so tasty - you could tell that the ingredients were all fresh, the chips were just the right amount of crispy, and the salsa verde was nice and spicy. The owner clearly takes pride in his work. Coffee was nice and strong with refills, and lemonade was refreshing. Service was not rushed so it was a nice relaxing Sunday breakfast. I would love to return to try other menu items.
